Review On Nokia 3110 Classic

Lovely Comments (2)

My sister recently bought this handy gadget and i would like to share my experience of using it. It’s a new phone, released in 2007. At an affordable price of INR 6800, this phone is really cheap while considering its features. The camera is good enough. It has an 8x zoom. The night-mode was missing in the video recorder though.

The in-built loudspeaker sounded great to my ears as I surfed through FM radio channels. It’s sweet and doesn’t crack at full volume. A volume controller is present on the side. The sound, however, gets muffled when the phone lies flat as the speaker is on its back. The in-flight mode lets you listen to music anytime. The headset which is part of the package is a pleasure to hear as well. The built-in media player plays these formats - MP3/MP4/AAC/AAC+/H.264/WMA.

On the whole i feel this cell is worth for its pay. I hope the display can be improved in this cell. I mean the clarity of text can be better. And i have not yet seen any problem that has occurred in other series of Nokia like Nokia3230. So people who want all the basic facilities in their mobile at a low cost can prefer this mobile.

Review On HP Pavilion dv5t

Lovely Comments (0)

The Pavilion dv5t series is a line of mid-range 15.4" LCD notebook computers from Hewlett Packard. Processor options are based around Intel's Core 2 Duo processors. The display is a widescreen 15.4", with a resolution of 1280x800 dpi on the basic model. HP's Infinity design, which stretches the display glass to the edge of the display area, is an optional upgrade, as is an upgrade to a resolution of 1680x1050 dpi. The basic graphics adapter is an integrated Intel GMA X4500, and upgrades to the NVIDIA GeForce9200M 256MB or the NVIDIA GeForce 9600M 512MB are available as well.

The operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium (32 or 64-bit), with the ability to upgrade to Vista Business or Vista Ultimate. Wireless connection capabilities are included, using the 802.11b/g standard, with options for Bluetooth and Intel's Wi-Fi Link 5100AGN available. The optical drive is a SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support, with options for Light scribe and an HP Blu-Ray ROM available as well.

A built-in TV tuner is included, with remote control and dual headphone jacks. HP Quick play software is also built-in, allowing for 1-click playback of media files. 4 USB ports are included, as well as an IR port, and HDMI 1.3 port, and a VGA output. The included battery is a 6-cell LiOn, with the option for a High-Capacity 6-cell LiOn available. The weight of the dv5t on an average configuration is 5.83 lbs. I feel this is one the best rated laptops ever introduced in the market and also it has covered the hearts of millions of people. Personally i feel it will be better to opt for this notebook rather than any of the others.

Review On Apple IPhone

Lovely Comments (3)

The iphone is a gadget created by Apple Inc. that integrates the features of a mobile phone, an MP3 player and what Apple Inc. has named an instant messenger. An innovative solution was replacing the keyboard with a multi-touch screen. It doesn’t need stylus but is designed for use with a finger or multiple fingers. Other innovations include automatic shutting of the screen when the iPhone is brought near the ear and a 3.5 inch screen with a 320×480 pixels resolution, which changes the screen according to the orientation of the phone (vertically-horizontally). The device supports MP3 audio format and MPEG video format. It also features a 2.0 mega pixel digital camera. It also includes the facility where in the songs and video files are added via itunes, just like in the iPod. The iPhone allows cordless access to the Internet via Wi-Fi and the Safari web browser.

The iPhone is a very specific device. When we get used to its graphical interface, it will be hard to switch back to a standard mobile phone. The phone’s target customer begins with the experts on Apple devices and finishes with the generation of our parents who can’t even send a text message. There is no knowledge required to use the iPhone because it’s so simple that even a new gadget user can master it with ease. Those who haven’t had contact with PDA devices will find the touch screen immensely impressive. The device will be popular with the gadget lovers, who like boasting a lot.

On the whole, the iPhone makes a great pocket multimedia centre. Listening to music or browsing photographs is very convenient. So is surfing the Internet. The graphical interface and the Internet browser are the two best functions of this phone. It won’t do very well as a personal organizer or a notepad. The iPhone is more of a cool phone than a PDA device.

Review On Nokia 6233

Lovely Comments (0)

The Nokia 6233 is a 3G candy bar that is just as comfortable meeting business demands as it is playing music and games. The candy bar design of the 6233 makes all its features easily accessible, the front fascia boasting the selection buttons and call and end keys of its 2G predecessor, the 6230. The 6233’s central selection key is surrounded by a four-way navigation key which you use to navigate the phone’s animated menu system.

The phone itself feels sturdy, its glossy front face and 240x320-pixel screen backing onto a rubber-coated back fascia which adds to the grip and protects somewhat against drops and shocks. The large keys on the 6233’s keypad have no metal dividers between them, making it easy to text at speed or dial numbers quickly.Powered by Nokia’s Series 40 system, the 6233 offers voice calling, texting, internet access and email, as well as the ability to run applications written in Java and Shockwave formats.

As with all Series 40 models, the animated menus are easy to use, and additional productivity features include the usual calendar, calculator, to-do list, notes, and alarm clock and stopwatch tools. The phone can be customized to your own taste by installing ringtones, wallpapers and screensavers via Bluetooth, internet download and MMS, or via a USB cable connected to a PC running Nokia’s bundled PC Suite. You can also download or create themes for your phone – small packaged files that add all such desktop enhancements in one go.

The back of the phone features the Nokia 6233’s 2-megapixel camera along with a handy self-portrait mirror. The camera is activated by pressing a button on the side of the phone; this key doubles up as the capture button. The camera takes clear shots at a choice of five resolutions from the full 1600x1200 down to an icon-sized 160x120, and the phone’s video capture resolution is a healthy 640x480 pixels.

Various quality settings are available so you can compromise quality with memory space – the 6233’s own built-in 6MB won’t hold much, but the standard 64MB MicroSD card is enough for around 100 top-quality images or a handful of your favorite music tracks. And while it’s unlikely that you’d use the 6233 as an iPod replacement, its built-in music player plays imported tracks to a high standard. The phone also features an FM radio and voice recorder, which will record until the phone or card memory is full, should you choose. Large buttons for controlling both voice calling and music player/radio volume are conveniently located on the right side of the phone. On the whole, the Nokia 6233 is a terrific 3G phone because I have got one for myself.

Review On Google Chrome

Chrome feels, interface-wise, like it comes from Google. It doesn't load a standard Windows menu system up top by default; instead, you just have a tool bar up top, and a place to collect your bookmarks. To bookmark any page, just click the Star icon at the left of Chrome's address bar.

Chrome's design was squarely centered around being friendly with web applications, and not just static web pages. It has a powerful JavaScript engine, for example, dubbed V8, and it includes Google Gears. The browser also lets you create application shortcuts on the fly, very much like creating shortcuts in Windows, and then you can use the shortcuts to launch web applications regardless of whether you're running Chrome or not. If people start to use arrays of cloud applications, I could see this becoming very useful.

Chrome has a simplified download manager, so that when you do a download, there is no separate window where you see download activity (as there is, sometimes annoyingly, in Firefox). In Chrome, your download is at the bottom of your browser window, and you can drag downloaded applications right to your desktop.

Chrome is going to need, as an open source browser, to get the kind of community support for extensibility that FireFox has. Until it does, it's not as powerful in my eyes. Google does have its eyes on all of this.Overall, It's a fast, clean, stable beta browser that shows promise but will need community support.

Lifestyle Without Gadgets

Lovely Comments (0)
Imagine waking up either drenched in sweat or freezing without an air conditioner or a room heater. What a way to start your day!

Then proceeding with the daily routine-cold water bath in winters and a warm water bath in summers would be far from welcome. Stepping out of the house not knowing what is going on in the neighbourhood leave alone the world,as there would neither be the electronic nor the print media. Then walking miles to find the person you have gone to meet is not available as you would have no cellphones to confirm the person's whereabouts.

After a long, tiring day at work, there would neither be energy for socializing nor television to entertain. The threat of anti-social elements without the neon lights that brighten up the roads,no air-conditioned eating joints to unwind, and no theaters to help you relax, would not make things pleasant.

This apart, the deprivation of medical aid would make matters worse. Squirming with pain, battling with life and suffering the wrath of nature would certainly need something more than just endurance to bear and that something is modern gadgets!
